Manali-Leh Highway Reopens for Light Vehicles After 2-Month Closure

The Manali-Leh National Highway has reopened for light motor vehicles on May 28, after remaining closed for nearly two months due to heavy snowfall. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) worked tirelessly to clear the snow, making the route accessible up to Sarchu. This reopening brings relief to locals and tourists, facilitating travel between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. However, heavy vehicles are still restricted on this high-altitude road.
