Chandigarh Administration to launch new phase of public bike-sharing scheme

The Chandigarh Administration is set to inaugurate the next phase of its public bike-sharing scheme on June 1, 2026. This expansion will add 50 new docking stations and 500 bicycles across various sectors, aiming to enhance last-mile connectivity and promote eco-friendly commuting. Officials stated that the initiative aligns with the city's smart city goals and efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Residents will be able to access the new facilities starting today.
