Himachal Pradesh Govt Announces 4% DA for Employees, Pensioners

The Himachal Pradesh government announced a 4% Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees and pensioners on Wednesday, June 12. This decision will benefit approximately 2.15 lakh employees and 1.90 lakh pensioners across the state. The additional DA will be effective from January 1, 2024, and will cost the state exchequer an estimated Rs 580 crore annually. This move aims to provide financial relief amidst rising living costs.
