Tourist rescued from Beas river near Manali

A tourist from Delhi, Ankit, was safely rescued from the Beas river near Manali on Tuesday after reportedly slipping in while taking a selfie. Local police and a rafting team swiftly launched a rescue operation to pull him out. He was then taken to a local hospital for medical examination. Authorities have issued repeated warnings to tourists about the dangers of venturing too close to river banks, especially as melting snow causes high water levels and strong currents.
